The history of printing house

The history of Printing house Częstochowskie Zakłady Graficzne Sp. z o.o. it is one hundred years of experience gained through three centuries. The beginning period of the operating it is year 1898 when Franciszek Dionizy Wilkoszewski came to Czestochowa and started activities leading to gaining the permission for the opening of the printing house. His efforts were successful and as a result one year after the first publications were printed in the newly opened printing house. The company offered both commercial and industrial prints. .

At the beginning, the residence of the company was situated at NMP 38 Avenue, where new investemnts of the machinery park were done. In 1923 it was removed to newly build premises at NMP 52 Avenue. The name of the company was then Drukarnia i Litografia F.D. Wilkoszewskiego ( Printing and Litography house of F.D. Wilkoszewski). At this residence the company has been operating until today. The building was called the palace of work .

Until the II World War the company had been developing and became one of the most modern printing houses in Poland. Thanks to new rotary machine Koening Bauer the company was able to print many press titles such as: "Goniec Częstochowski", "Niedziela", "Świat szkolny" and others. Printing house was also publishing "Kurier Częstochowski" after the imprisonment of the owner and takeover made by occupants. .”.

Afterwar period it is the operation of Czestochowskie Zaklady Graficzne, which have been functionig under that name until now, transforming in 1998 into limited liability company. Printing house has been developing over the period of several years. It has been increasing the assets and extended technological base. Turning from the simple letterpress printing machines through the unique reels letterpress printing machines to the most modern ofset printing presses allowed to improve technology and broaden the list of offerred prints.

In 1974 the process of specialisation at printing valuable and numbered prints started. Dynamic development at this area was possible thanks to extension of machinery park based on printing presses produced by Heidelberg copmany. All production departments have been modernized.

In 1995 as the first in Poland, Printig house CZG S.A. implemented application of holographic signs with hot stamping method used to produce secured prints. .

The department of personalized prints was formed in 1998. Today the company is in leading position within valuable and personalized prints producers.

In the following years printing house was investing in new printing and bookbinding machines and prepress devices. .

Currently possesed machinery park and also qualified and experienced staff allow to realize even the most difficult orders with the ensurance of the highest quality and satisfaction of the Clients. .

Since the 1 st November 2008 as the result of development plan of the company and its consequent realisation the company has been reorganised and has changed its name. New name of the company is Drukarnia Częstochowskie Zakłady Graficzne Ltd .
